Ridley Thaw LLP have advised Altrincham based, Diagnostic Healthcare Limited, on the acquisition of their new head office at Standard Life’s The Royals Office Development in South Manchester. Diagnostic Healthcare operates a network of centres and mobile units across the UK providing MRI, ultrasound, bone density and health screening services working closely with the NHS and private providers. Having seen a 400% growth in revenue in the 3 years to 2016, bringing the number of UK sites to 60, Diagnostic Healthcare’s new Head Office at The Royals is fundamental in supporting the company’s continuing strong performance in one of the UK’s fastest growing sectors.

One Stop Hire acquisition

Ritrama agrees 'largest NW industrial letting'

SELF-ADHESIVE materials manufacturer Ritrama UK has relocated from Eccles to Dukinfield after agreeing a lease on a 115,000 sq ft warehouse at Tameside Industrial Park. London-based Mayfair Capital Investment Management, which owns the Tame115 site through its Property Income Trust for Charities (PITCH) fund, said the deal was the largest industrial letting in the North West this year. Ritrama is moving from a 72,000 sq ft facility at Lyntown Trading Estate. James Thornton, chief investment officer of Mayfair Capital and fund director of PITCH, said: “This significant letting for PITCH more than halves the void rate in its portfolio to just 2.1% of the income. This is important to our charity investors because it increases the distribution yield. The fund now offers a prospective yield of 6.5% plus, which is very attractive to charities in the current environment of low inflation and interest rates." Tommy Tucker hits the target with sweet deal in Sheffield

Acting for Tommy Tucker Popcorn, Ridley Thaw LLP have acquired a new manufacturing and distribution hub at Target Park on the North Anston Trading Estate in Sheffield. Strategically placed for the M1 and M18, the new site comprises 41,500 sq.ft of warehousing on a 2.37acre self-contained site. Paul Witts commented, “we were delighted to be able to work with the team at Tommy Tucker again and it was pleasing to find the right product for their continued expansion in the popcorn and candyfloss business, as well as their recent acquisition of a flapjack business in Dorset”. Thomas Tucker Limited was established as a family business in the late 80’s and is now the largest popcorn manufacturer in the UK. It also supplies 90% of all cinemas in the country, as well as being partners to the Walt Disney Group.

Jonny heads up Ridley Thaw Residential, the lettings and property management agency for apartments and houses in and around Manchester City Centre.  Managing an expanding portfolio from the Castlefield office, Jonny enjoys advising on the latest market trends and compliance matters as well as helping existing and new clients acquire new properties. He was previously the Sales Manager for a multi-branch estate agency across Manchester and Cheshire and performed eco-refurbishments on residential properties prior to this.

Michaela is relatively new to the role and although she graduated with a degree in Archaeology, she loves the challenge of digging to the root of complex cases and unearthing great results for her clients. Though new to Manchester and the industry, she is enjoying learning more about this competitive and dynamic field.  At weekends she loves sampling her favourite tipple in Manchester’s local beer scene.
